NODONUDO, CONTEMPORARY MACRAMÈ

Hands, gaze and heart are at the core of everything. Every object is unique, as well as those who desired it and the environment in which it is placed. Such objects create emotions, they have found their own harmony as the result of inspiration, observation and search for the essential. Only in this way, what I craft acquires value: NodoNudo stems from here, stems from love I put into things I do and without which no creation would make sense to me.

—PHILOSOPHY

NODONUDO, CONTEMPORARY MACRAMÈ

When I decided to start the journey that led me to found NodoNudo, the principle to start from was very clear to me: uniqueness. I don’t mass-produce objects, I’m not afraid of time. Hands, eyes and heart are the core of everything: even if two pieces look alike, they will never be the same. Each work is therefore truly unique and is the sum of the elements that led me to create it: the person who asked me, the choice of materials, the thought of how my creation can harmonize with the wearer or with the environment it is placed in. Objects do have a soul, which is made by my inspiration, by the beauty that surrounds us, by the essentiality as a result of continuous research. Only in this way, I can give value to the objects I am crafting: every assignment is a challenge, a good tension to be channelled in the right way and an opportunity to explore, learn and have fun. The reason why NodoNudo exists, in the end, lies in the love I put into things I do and without which no creation would make sense to me.

—ABOUT

A South African WOMAN with an Argentinian soul and an Italian heart

Three passports, two children and a genuine passion for beautiful and well-done things. South Africa and macramè discovered almost by chance. Argentina and the deep love for architecture. Italy and the search of my truest interests. NodoNudo is the concept that encompasses this path and that helps me to convey, through unique, hand-made objects, my personal sense of beauty and essentiality.

—ABOUT

A South African WOMAN with an Argentinian soul and an Italian heart

Three passports, two children and a genuine passion for beautiful and well-done things. The three passports reflect the stages I have gone through in my life up to now and each of them has an important meaning: South Africa, where I was born and where my mother bought in the 70’s a magazine on macramé; Argentina, where I grew up in a wonderful family, I made my lifelong friends, I studied and loved architecture; Italy, and Milan, where I forged my career and created my family. Lecce was an opportunity to open a new window on my life, explore and measure myself with the truest passions and interests. From this perspective, I had the chance to admire the manual skills of the local fishermen, the uniqueness of the old town lights, the natural quality of the traditions of a singular, ancient and vital territory. NodoNudo is the concept that encompasses this path and that helps me to convey, through unique, hand-made objects, my personal sense of beauty and essentiality.
